Privacy notice
Who we are
Linguative (شركة الإبداع اللغوي), based in Amman, Jordan, handles personal information associated with enquiries and agreed language, conference and event services. Contact info@linguative.net for privacy questions or requests.
Information and purposes
We receive contact and organization details, correspondence and project requirements when you contact us. Agreed assignments may also involve personal information in documents, recordings or event materials. Website contact and quotation forms do not accept document uploads. Please agree a suitable transfer method before sending sensitive material.
Providing information through the website is voluntary. Contact details and a description of the request are needed to respond or prepare a quotation; without them we may be unable to assist. Linguative determines how it handles its own enquiries, quotations and business administration. When a client determines the purpose and instructions for processing personal information in project material, the respective responsibilities are set out in the service agreement. We use relevant information to respond, prepare quotations, coordinate and deliver services, manage project communications and meet applicable legal obligations. Where GDPR applies, the basis depends on the activity: steps to enter or perform a contract with you, legitimate interests in handling business enquiries and communications, legal obligations, or consent where required. Client-controlled processing follows the client's documented instructions; sensitive information requires the applicable additional legal conditions.
Access and confidentiality
Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need information for the assignment and the service processes needed to handle submissions. Client files and enquiries are not shared with freelance translators. Website hosting, enquiry-storage and business email providers support our website and communications. Project-specific access restrictions should be agreed before material is supplied.
Commissioning a service does not authorize use of client documents, event photographs or recordings for marketing. Any such use requires separate permission.
Retention
Our retention policy is four months from project completion for working project files, and four months from the last exchange for enquiries. This includes working copies of client documents, recordings and project correspondence. Invoices, accepted agreements and records needed for legal obligations or an active dispute are assessed separately and retained only for the applicable requirement. Client-specific translation memories and reusable reference material require a separately agreed purpose and retention period. Backup copies follow the relevant provider's documented expiry arrangements; they are not treated as an unrestricted working archive.
International processing
Our website and communications use service providers that may process information outside Jordan or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Applicable transfer arrangements must be assessed for the processing concerned. Contact info@linguative.net for information about the arrangements relevant to your assignment.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal information, or object to processing. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Where GDPR applies, you may complain to the competent supervisory authority.
Send requests to info@linguative.net. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, its reason and duration must be communicated within that first month. For information processed on a client's instructions, requests may need to be coordinated with that client.
Website storage and updates
Website infrastructure may use technical browser storage and server logs to operate and secure the service. You can manage browser storage through your browser settings. Website films are delivered through an external media service; loading a film can disclose connection information such as your IP address and browser details to that service. Any future optional analytics or advertising tools will require an assessment and the applicable information and controls before activation.
This notice will show its effective date when adopted. Material changes will be reflected in the published version.
